The roof of our logistics center is a so-called Noxout roof, designed to capture harmful NOx particles emitted by cars and trucks. When the sun shines, UV rays convert the NOx into nitrate, which is then washed off the roof when it rains.
Around the building, we’ve planted willow trees in drainage ditches. These willows absorb the nitrate, and after a few years, they can be harvested and used for biomass or compost.
In this way, we’ve created nature’s own purification system – a circular solution that removes harmful particles from the air and transforms them into green energy.
