Transparency and traceability

Customers and consumers are entitled to know what happens in all the different parts of the value chain. Therefore, it’s important for us to ensure transparency throughout.

IT systems make the process transparent

First and foremost, it’s a question of providing our customers with insights into how we handle their logistics tasks. For several years, we have been using our advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) and our unique Transport Management System (TMS) as internal tools for ensuring full traceability of both entire pallets and repackaged displays.

The future looks set to be even more transparent, as we are working hard at the moment to launch our customer portal ‘FL Analytics’, which will give customers full access to a wide range of data.

Engaging with employees

We also make a priority of being open with and engaging with our employees. Every year in January, the management visits our logistics centres to engage with our employees and tell them how the past business year has gone. In this way, all our employees – drivers, warehouse workers and office staff – are kept abreast of developments, which helps to strengthen the entire organisation.
