25th Anniversary: “We’re like a little family”

1. November 2025

On 1 November 2025, Morten Frisch, team leader in the claims department, celebrates his 25th anniversary at Frode Laursen.

He grew up in Skjød, just a few kilometres from Vitten, so joining Frode Laursen was a natural choice when he wanted to earn some extra money while still in school.

“I started in 1995 packing goods and soon moved to the workshop to wash trucks. A friend needed a partner, and that turned out to be me. I did that until I finished business school in 1999 and went into military service. Afterwards, I applied for a trainee position on my own initiative. There were no openings at the time, but I got a job in the packing department until an accounting trainee position opened in 2000,” Morten explains.

After finishing his traineeship, Frode Laursen entered a cooperation with Skanol, where the company was partly responsible for operating the vehicles. Morten was offered the chance to take on the responsibility for maintaining the fleet.

“I’ve been doing that ever since, although of course the tasks have changed as we’ve grown. Frode Laursen has been in constant development, and the years have just flown by. We’ve become a big company, but still with our feet firmly on the ground and a flat organisation. That’s what I really like,” he says.

Today, Morten works as team leader of the claims department, which last year merged with the workshop.

“It was a great challenge, and I wanted to try leadership. The best part was that I could take on a new challenge but stay in the same surroundings. Because it doesn’t get any better than this. We’re like a family – we’ve worked together for many years and know each other well. That means everything,” says Morten.

Privately, Morten lives in Hammel with his wife and two children, aged 18 and 20. In his spare time, he enjoys their new caravan, playing golf, refereeing handball, and volunteering with Hammel Handball.
