25-Year Anniversary: “I’m right where I’m supposed to be”

1. August 2025

On August 1st, Heidi Sørensen celebrates her 25-year anniversary as an office assistant at Frode Laursen.

But Heidi’s connection to Frode Laursen goes back even further – to the 1990s, when she worked at a flower wholesaler that was a partner of Frode Laursen.

“I had a really good impression of Frode, and when that collaboration ended, I thought: I want to be part of that company. So I applied – actually several times – and eventually I was hired in the transport department,” says Heidi, who still works in the same area, now known as “DK Service.”

Back then, things looked very different. Everything was written by hand, and coloured A4 sheets were used to keep track of geography. But even though both Frode Laursen and the world have changed, the core of the work remains the same.

“It has always been about maintaining good quality. But customer demands have increased. Luckily, we now have great tools and incredibly skilled colleagues who deliver excellent service – including the drivers out at the delivery points. I’ve always really appreciated working with them. It’s fun, and I think they’re awesome,” she explains.

That collaboration with colleagues is a big part of why Heidi has stayed for 25 years:

“There’s a great tone across Frode – mutual respect and a shared drive to find solutions. And I have fantastic colleagues both in the company and in my department. We have a great rapport and work well together, and I’ve always enjoyed coming to work. So I’m right where I’m supposed to be,” she says.

Privately, Heidi lives just a few kilometres from Vitten, where she’s lived with her husband since 1992. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two sons, aged 13 and 17 – all of whom share a passion for motorsport or cycling in the nearby forest.
