Frode Laursen has climate targets approved by international scientific organisation
Just over a year ago, Frode Laursen joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) with a clear goal: to achieve net zero by 2050.
Now the next and crucial step has been taken, and the climate targets have been approved by the international organisation.
“The approval from SBTi confirms that our climate targets are ambitious enough to make a real difference. We now have a concrete and recognised foundation for our continued efforts,” says CEO Thomas Corneliussen.
The approval means that SBTi has verified that Frode Laursen’s targets comply with the latest climate science and the ambitions of the Paris Agreement. This includes two specific commitments: a 50.4% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2032 and net zero across the entire value chain no later than 2050.
SBTi approval is a recognised requirement from some of the world’s largest companies when selecting transport and logistics partners.
“We transport and handle many of the FMCG products and building materials consumed across the Nordic region. Therefore, we are focused on meeting the many requirements our customers will face in the coming years as a result of the green transition,” adds Thomas Corneliussen.
