Green Progress, Increased Activity, and Improved Productivity

Frode Laursen can look back on 2024 with satisfaction, showing progress in its sustainability performance as well as improvement in both revenue and productivity.
In 2024, Frode Laursen A/S delivered a profit of DKK 35 million, based on revenue of DKK 2,270 million. Equity stands at DKK 241 million, with a solvency ratio of 32.2%.
Revenue increased by 5% compared to the previous year, primarily driven by the addition of new customers in the FMCG sector. At the same time, productivity improvements and better capacity utilization have resulted in increased earnings across both transport divisions and logistics centers.
This represents an improvement over 2023, which management considers satisfactory.
“We are pleased that, in a market with continuously rising costs and fierce competition, we have managed to streamline operations to such an extent that we have been able to offset significant cost increases that we were unable to pass on to customers. These results are thanks to highly committed and truly skilled employees,” says Thomas Corneliussen, CEO of Frode Laursen.
Significant Reduction in CO2 Emissions
Frode Laursen has once again succeeded in significantly reducing its CO2 emissions.
Since 2020, the company has reduced its absolute CO2 emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 37%, while relative emissions – also known as carbon intensity – have been cut by 32%.
“I’m incredibly proud of that. Especially the reduction in carbon intensity, as it shows how much better we’ve become at transporting the same volume of goods in a more climate-friendly way,” says Thomas Corneliussen.
In 2024, Frode Laursen improved its carbon intensity by 14% compared to the previous year.
Ambitions and Outlook for 2025
Despite the strong results, Frode Laursen has no intention of slowing down. On the contrary, the company plans to raise the bar even higher and will set ambitious new goals later this year.
“We need to maintain momentum. We’ve already achieved a lot by using more sustainable fuels, and new legislation now allows us to carry even more goods per truck, creating new opportunities to further accelerate both the green transition while also improving productivity,” says Thomas Corneliussen.
Regarding the financial outlook for 2025, Frode Laursen’s management expects increased activity and a strengthening of the company’s position within its key customer segments through new customer acquisitions. The result is expected to be on par with 2024.
