Increased demand for storage capacity
We live in changeable times. Rising energy and consumption prices and an uncertain world have slowed consumption in most of Europe.
This has challenged the forecast models and, thus, the planning of many manufacturers. Production still needs to be adapted to the changed consumption pattern, resulting in packed storage shelves and a lack of pallet space. In other words, we experience what is called the whiplash effect in practice.
This is also true here at Frode Laursen, where our 660.000 sqm of storage space is well-filled. However, we assess that the market will slowly adjust, and we expect inventories to generally fall by 10-15% in the coming months.
Until then, our priority is to help our customers in a difficult time, and despite the current situation, we succeed in finding space for both existing and new customers.
